An opinion is neither pushed by hard sell nor pulled by popular views, however, an honest opinion is subjective. In my subjective opinion, this book is every bit worth its penny. The Raw Shark Texts hangs out with my favourite genre - meta-fiction.
Don't expect to be coddled in your pajamies here or lead on a comfy magic carpet ride, it's no laid back love story, leave the pillows back stage, expect surprise at every corner, you may have to abort all judgment too. The easy going witty way with words Steven Hall occupies leads you through a juvenile love story but this story is also thoughtful and fascinating with an underlying psychological sadness. In some ways a psychological thriller and in some, a tad science-fictional. Step outside the popular and give it a go.
